Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)data indicates that for youth under 18 covered by the Medicaid program, there were 14 million (34%) fewer mental health services in 2020 compared to 2019, but CMS did not analyze the impact from declines in school mental health services and not all school services are reimbursed by Medicaid.
